چکیده
In this paper the selection of a mixer topology for a multi-standard, non-concurrent front-end is presented. The front-end is designed for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephone (DECT) systems and systems for wireless communications, which operate in the 2.4 GHz Industrial Scientific Medical (ISM) band (like Bluetooth or DECT alike systems at 2.4 GHz). Three mixer topologies are presented and evaluated. In order to choose the most promising one. a 6gUTC of merit for mixers is defined. A novel, folded switching mixer topology utilizing a current reuse technique achieves the best performance. With this topology the following simulation results are achieved: noise figure ( N F ) 11 dB, voltage gain 17 dB, linearity ( IIP3) I dBm with a power consumption of 5 mW at an operating frequency of 2.5 GHz. Given the fast migration of the CMOS technologies towards the deep submicron processes. mixer operation at low supply voltages is considered. The operation at a supply voltage of 1 V providing moderate N F , gain and linearity for two mixer topologies is shown, which is not reponed in the literature so far.

Mixer Topology Selection for a Multi-Standard High Image-Reject Front-End
In this paper, a mixer topology selection for a multi-standard high image-reject front-end is presented. The receiver is intended to work for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telephone (DECT) systems (at 1.9 GHz and 2.4 GHz) and for Bluetooth (at 2.4 GHz). It will be implemented in 0 18 μm CMOS technology. A double-quadrature low-IF architecture is employed because it can provide a high image rejectio...

A 2.4 GHz CMOS RF front-end using for ZigBee application is described. The front-end consists of a low noise amplifier and a down-mixer and uses a 2 MHz IF frequency. A common source with resistive feedback and an inductive degeneration are adopted for a low noise amplifier, and a 20 dB gain control step is digitally controlled. A passive mixer for low current consumption is employed. The RF fr...

A reconfigurable RF front-end using a tunable interstage matching network is designed in 0.25 μm CMOS technology. It consists of a wideband LNA, interstage matching network, a Gilbert-cell mixer, and reconfigurable QVCO. Tunability of the interstage matching can be obtained by a MOS varactor. It can change tuning frequency by controlling capacitance of varactor. Gain of the RF front-end can be ...
متن کاملA 1.8 V 10-bit 80 MS/s low power track-and-hold circuit in a 0.18µm CMOS process
A 10-bit low power track-and-hold (T&H) circuit aimed for the front-end of a pipelined analog-to-digital (A/D) converter has been designed. The T&H is sampling at 80MS/s, has a 30MHz analog bandwidth and was designed in a 0.18μm CMOS process with a supply voltage of 1.8 Volt. A switched capacitor topology applying correlated double sampling is used for the T&H circuit and the amplifier is a fol...
